I read an article not too long ago about that famous photograph of the Vietnamese commander shooting the man in the head. The photograph seems to show one story, but the real story was quite different.
It would be interesting to take an old photograph -- maybe not quite as well-known as that one -- and have everyone write about what was really happening.
Clair, what a great idea! Artistry out of tragedy. Shakespearean!
